As a College Possible AmeriCorps service member, you'll receive a comprehensive package of compensation, education award, healthcare insurance, and professional development opportunities throughout your service year. The details below represent compensation and benefits available to members serving in the 2025-2026 service year.​​
Living Allowance
​All state/national and VISTA AmeriCorps members receive a modest annual living allowance, paid biweekly or bimonthly, depending on your role. The amount is set by the National Corporation for Community Service and varies by location.
Professional Development and Training
As a College Possible AmeriCorps member, kick off your journey with three weeks of hands-on training designed for success. Build in-demand skills like team leadership, conflict resolution, and multicultural communication. Access professional development opportunities and connect with a national community of AmeriCorps members and staff to enhance your skills and expand your network.
Education Award
Complete your 1,700-hour service term and earn a $7,395 education award for student loans or future education. College Possible Texas members serve 1,200 hours and receive $5,176.50. Plus, you can apply for the government to cover interest on your loans accrued during your service!
Healthcare Coverage
Modest healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) coverage plans are available.
